Important! If you arrive with taxi/Uber/Bolt, remember to tell the driver to drive to Häkläjärventie 5 via Myllyjärventie (not any other option).
Where to stay
Häkläjärvi Camp
If you want to bring your own tent or hammock, it will be possible to camp at our property. We can also try to arrange a tent and sleeping gear for you.
Please let us know if you plan to stay at the camping area. Write it in the RSVP form.

Backby Manor
As we live in the country side, the only hotel within walking distance (2,3 km) from the party, is the Backby Manor Hotel. The nights don´t get dark during summer in Finland.
We have made an agreement with the hotel that our guests can use the discount code AM26 during payment checkout.
The offer allows our guests to book hotel rooms at a rate of 135 €/twin room and 102 €/single room including breakfast and access to sauna and spa/pool area.
The discount can be used until May 3rd and is valid for reservations from July 3rd to July 5th 2026.
We understand that Backby Manor is not a cheap hotel, so we recommend first checking hotels.com or booking.com if there is a better discount available.
Other options
It is of course also possible to stay in other hotels in Espoo or Helsinki, or book via Airbnb, however you will need to use a taxi/Uber/Bolt to get to your accomodation and our party.

Tips for our traveling guests
Flying:
Our home is approx. 30 km from the Helsinki/Vantaa airport. For our danish friends and family, try and coordinate with each other so you come in groups and can share a taxi/Uber/Bolt.
Car and boat:
If you come with car and boat from Sweden we recommend taking the ferry from Kappelskär (a little north of Stockholm) to Naantali, as this is the cheapest option. From Naantali there is a 2 hour drive to our home. The boat arrives in the morning so there will be plenty time to arrive before the party starts. It is also possible to take a ferry from Stockholm to Turku or directly to Helsinki.
Tips from us:
If you are planning to spend some more time in Finland, here are some recommendations for places to visit:
Suomenlinna/Sveaborg: an old fortress and a lovely island outside Helsinki, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a boat there from Helsinki Kauppatori.
Fiskars: you know the orange Fiskars scissors? Well, here the story started for the famous scissors. Fiskars is a lovely art and craftmanship village at Raseborg region (about 1 h 20 min drive from us).
Porvoo/Borgå: An old cute wooden house village (about 1 hour drive from us).
Tammisaari/Ekenäs: a lovely old village next to the sea (about 1h 20 min drive from us).
Lake Finland region, Tampere: a nice city at the heart of the lake lands.
Turku/Åbo: a historical city next to the sea, you can take the boat to Sweden from here too (Silja Line or Viking Line).
National parks: Finland has 41 national parks, many of them also in the southern part of Finland. We recommend to visit some for outdoor enthusiasts, Nuuksio National Park is the nearest.
Wildlife camping: https://www.tulikartta.fi is a semi-secret webpage with all the ourdoor camping spots, huts, shelters and fireplaces for those interested in wildlife experiences.
Other
Dresscode?
Our party is a casual garden/forest party. For your comfort and ease we don’t recommend high heels (or very high heels atleast). Don’t buy new clothes for the party, just put your stunning outfit, dress up like David Bowie for instance - we wanna party with you, aight! :)
In case of rain?
Of course it will be warm and sunny, but we have a big party tent in case it rains. Check out the forecast before you arrive and dress accordingly.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, we would like to keep our celebration mostly adults-only. However we understand that if you are traveling from abroad and want to have a family vacation in Finland, your kids are welcome.
Taxi from and to Backby Manor?
Yes, we will provide a taxi from Backy Manor to the party at around 12 and from the party to Backy Manor at around 00.00.
Parking?
There is a limited amount of parking spots in our yard, so please consider arriving by taxi/Uber/Bolt.
Photographs?
We won’t have an official photographer, so please take many pictures and we woud be very happy if you could share them with us later via WhatsApp/Messenger/e-mail.
Last but not least. Sauna?
The party is relaxed so sauna will be possible for those who are interested. If you are interested bring a towel - and SWIMSUIT if you are shy ;)
